Christmas Wonderland 2020 goes virtual this festive season, creating a hyper-realistic wonderland, packed with a plethora of delightful interactive activities, gleeful performances, and shopping, all enjoyable from the comfort of your home.

Since its debut in 2014, Christmas Wonderland has become an iconic attraction in Singapore’s year-end calendar at Gardens by The Bay and has since attracted over four million visitors. The 2020 edition reinvents itself amid the pandemic by going online, creating a virtual magical realm that combines elements synonymous with the yuletide fair with a technological edge.

Guests can explore an immersive world of wonder and enchantment featuring hyper-realistic graphics and highly interactive content via the website and desktop app. Visitors can also enjoy a slew of festive offerings, such as a video call to Santa at the Santa’s workshop, challenge friends to a snowball fight at the Snow Playground, or try a hand at the game booths at the Jolly Carnival.

Step into a virtual winter landscape and enjoy festive entertainment at the Tinsel Theatre presented by Lifetime, admire the stunning lights at the Supertree Grove, shop for unique gifts at the Bells Market or send personalised e-cards to friends and family.

“This year has been an extremely difficult year for everyone. As organisers of Christmas Wonderland, we felt that it was even more important to continue to celebrate Christmas. We’ve come up with a unique solution which moved the vast variety of the traditional Christmas Wonderland content online, whilst keeping some physical lights at Gardens by the Bay. Fans of Christmas Wonderland now have the best of both worlds. To allow maximum choice, both are ticketed separately,” said Mr. Kevin Soh, Executive Director, Blue Sky Events Pte Ltd.

Membership, starting from S$8 for the whole family, is required to unlock a host of benefits to the virtual Christmas Wonderland 2020. Members enjoy unlimited access to the virtual world on the Members Only area of the website and Windows desktop app. Comet ($15) and Rudolph ($25) members will also get a limited edition Christmas Wonderland plush bear delivered to their homes for free.

Online games suited for all ages to take part in at Christmas Wonderland 2020 will also be accessible on the portal. Enjoy a multiplayer Midnight Snowball Fight game, have a go at carnival games with a digital twist, or help the elves at Santa’s Workshop to pack gifts whilst stopping rogue elves from stealing presents.

Additionally, try your hand at solving challenging puzzles with Puzzlemania presented by Lenovo, and stand to win up to S$5,000 worth of prizes.

Complementing the online festivities, visitors can also head down to Gardens by the Bay for the Walk of Lights – brought to you by Christmas Wonderland to view the stunning light installations from Italy in person. A total of eight light installations will illuminate the Supertree Grove at Gardens by the Bay.

Tickets to the on-site event are priced at S$5 each and are sold separately from the online membership for Virtual Christmas Wonderland 2020. Visitors are required to pre-book a 30-minute session and purchase their tickets up to an hour prior to their visit. Tickets are not available for sale on-site.

To adhere to social distancing measures, a maximum of 430 people per 30-minute session can be accommodated, with a maximum of five persons allowed per group.
