BURLINGTON, Mass. (AP) _ Circor International Inc. (CIR) on Thursday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $2 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Burlington, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 12 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 48 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 41 cents per share.
The maker of valves and other engineered products posted revenue of $158.2 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $148 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $10.1 million, or 61 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $590.3 million.
Circor shares have declined slightly more than 2 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 77 percent in the last 12 months.
