CM Gehlot seeks Centre's cooperation to establish Mega Textile Park in Jodhpur

Jaipur (Rajasthan) October 6 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in a meeting with Upendra Prasad Secretary, Ministry of Textiles at his official residence in Jaipur, urged the Government of India for cooperation to set up a Mega Textile Park at Kankani, Jodhpur under the Mega Investment Textile Park Scheme. The CM Gehlot said that the State Government is working on a plan to develop Rajasthan as a major hub of textile-based industries and is ready to provide 1000 acres of land and other necessary infrastructure facilities for this park. The CM expressed that Mega Park will strengthen the textile sector in Rajasthan. During the meeting, the Chief Minister also underlined that Rajasthan is a major hub in the country for the production and export of textiles. Textile and apparel manufacturing units are operating in the state in large numbers. Apart from earning foreign exchange, units are also generating employment.
