Coda Payments announced new partnerships this morning with several Southeast Asian telcos. The mobile payment company’s fresh roster of partners includes Globe Telecom in the Philippines, Indosat and Esia in Indonesia, and SingTel and M1 in Singapore. This brings the total number of customers with access to Codapay to more than 100 million in Asia.

Coda works with mobile network operators and online merchants to allow customers to make purchases on the web or in an app by charging it to their postpaid bill. For mobile operators, Coda claims to increase subscriber loyalty and generate higher revenue. For merchants, Coda aims to help companies monetize on consumers who can’t pay using traditional methods. Coda is backed by a group of venture capital funds and angel investors, including GMO Global Payment Fund, Rakuten, and CyberAgent Ventures.

David Ng, CEO of Gumi Asia, said, “owing to its simplicity, carrier billing is a popular way for customers to purchase in-game items. We are delighted that we are able to offer this option to users across the region in partnership with Coda.”

Coda’s CEO Neil Davidson says more than 100,000 consumers across Southeast Asia have made purchases using Codapay.
