COE premiums end mostly higher in second bidding for May

Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums ended mostly higher in the second bidding for May, according to data from the Land Transport Authority on Wednesday.

The premium for small cars, those 1,600 cc and below, rose to $65,689. This is about 9.5 per cent higher than the $60,002 recorded in the previous bidding.

The premium for goods vehicles and buses increase by 12.6 per cent to $40,889. It was previously set at $36,301.

The COE premium for motorcycles inched up to $4,003 as compared to $4,001 in the earlier round.

The premium for vehicles in the open category went up to $67,290 from $65,501 previously.

Meanwhile, the premium for big cars, those above 1,600cc, dipped slightly to $68,103, which is lower than the previous $70,002.
