New Delhi, Sep 22 (ANI): Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi on September 22 formally launched negotiations for Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). “India-UAE bilateral relations have seen tremendous growth in past few years under framework of comprehensive strategic partnership including regular exchanges at highest level. India and UAE are among each other’s largest trading partners. Today, we've launched negotiations for a mutually beneficial Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). The 1st round of CEPA negotiations will be held tomorrow and day after,” said Goyal. “Both sides will aim to conclude negotiations by December 2021 and hope to sign a formal agreement in early part of 2022 after the completion of internal legal procedures and necessary ratification process,” said the Union Minister.
