ConforMIS reports 4Q loss

BEDFORD, Mass. (AP) _ ConforMIS Inc. (CFMS) on Wednesday reported a loss of $15.7 million in its fourth quarter.

The Bedford, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 37 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 30 cents per share.

The medical technology company posted revenue of $21.7 million in the period, which topped Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $21.5 million.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $57.6 million, or $1.39 per share. Revenue was reported as $79.9 million.

For the current quarter ending in April, ConforMIS said it expects revenue in the range of $17.7 million to $18.7 million.

The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $80 million to $84 million.

ConforMIS shares have climbed almost 6 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $8.55, a rise of 8 percent in the last 12 months.
