Cordillera PNP reshuffled

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines - The Philippine National Police (PNP) has reshuffled its key officials in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) to pave way for the movement of senior police officers up the ranks.

The latest revamp in the Police Regional Office-CAR (PRO-CAR) saw Senior Superintendent Benjamin Lusad, former deputy director for Regional Operations and Plans Division, reassigned as provincial director (PD) in the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO).

Lusad takes over the command from Senior Superintendent Wilben Mayor who has transferred outside the PRO-CAR.

Sr. Supt. Ernesto Gaab, former head of the multi-awarded Cordillera Regional Mobile Group (RMG), was elevated to chief of the Regional Operations and Plans Division while Sr. Supt. Froilan Perez, former chief for Regional Personnel, Human Resource and Doctrine Development (PHRDD), has replaced Gaab as RMG chief.

Sr. Supt. Donato Bacquian, former head of the Regional Investigation Division (RID), now heads the (PHRDD) while Sr. Supt. Joseph Adnol, former director of the Abra Police Provincial Office, is the new head of the RID.

Sr. Supt. Roberto Quinto Soriano, former Officer-in-Charge of the Baguio City Police Office and chief of staff of the Regional Directorial Staff (RDS), now occupies the position as deputy regional director for Operations while Sr. Supt. Elmer Soria, former deputy regional director for Operations, has landed the region's No. 2 post as deputy regional director for Administration.

Soriano also sits as the concurrent head of the Task Force Abra which is in charge of the overall peace initiatives in the conflict-stricken province of Abra up to the present.

The routine movement in the PNP is part of the professional advancement of police officers as they move on to achieve higher positions in their career which they deserve because of their excellent performances in their previous assignments.

Soriano explained the movement in a police officer's assignment is a normal occurrence, thus, they are always prepared wherever they will be placed considering that what is important is they will be able to effectively and efficiently discharge their assigned duties and responsibilities to serve and protect the people.
