Coronation Street airs sinister Kit cliffhanger in early ITVX release
Coronation Street spoilers follow for Friday’s episode (November 1), which is available to watch now on ITVX and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
Coronation Street has aired a sinister cliffhanger involving Kit Green, as Joel Deering’s murder case continues to unfold.
This week, the soap unveiled DS Lisa Swain and Carla Connor as two more official suspects in the investigation, with flashbacks showing that they each have secrets from the night Joel died.
Meanwhile, Kit has been put in charge of the investigation, as it was decided that Betsy’s involvement with Joel meant that Lisa was too close to the case to do her job properly.

That doesn’t mean she has stopped trying to crack the case herself though, and in today’s episode, Lisa told Kit that she found it suspicious that Joel’s personal belongings hadn’t been found – and that if they find these, they might find the killer.
Kit was annoyed by her interference in the case and told Craig to make sure anything found in the river search was passed on to him, not Lisa.
Lisa then received a harassment complaint against her and ended up under internal investigation, and she assumed that Kit and Daisy were behind this.

But it was later revealed that it was Betsy who made the complaint, in a desperate attempt for her mum to take some time off work. In an emotional chat, Betsy explained she was always terrified that her mum was going to die on duty like Becky.
Lisa found Kit and apologised, telling him that she was going to take some annual leave to spend some more time with her daughter.
But before she clocked off, Lisa advised Kit that whoever owns the red car that crashed into Greg’s wing mirror might know something about Joel and could have witnessed something related to the murder.

Kit returned to the station, where Craig sent him a spreadsheet of all the red cars in the area. He scrolled through the list, before secretly deleting the vehicle registered under his name.
