Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street's Leanne Battersby gets access to Wendy Caple's interviews next week after Simon Barlow makes a sneaky move.
Wendy has been appointed as an impartial representative in the ongoing dispute surrounding Oliver's future. As part of her duties, Wendy has been interviewing Oliver's loved ones, as well as doctors from the hospital, ahead of an upcoming court case.
In next week's episodes, Leanne's son Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) offers to do his own interview with Wendy as he'd like to help Oliver's case.
Wendy becomes distracted when talking to Simon, which gives him an opportunity to steal her dictaphone without her realising.
Later, Simon returns home and presents the dictaphone to Leanne (Jane Danson), giving her a chance to play back all of Wendy's interviews.
Unfortunately, this could be bad news for Leanne as not everyone is likely to have said things that she wants to hear.
One example of this played out in Monday's double bill, as Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) both spoke to Wendy.
While Nick told Wendy that he genuinely believed Oliver is responding to noise, Gail admitted that she wasn't so sure about this.
Could Gail's honest response get played back to Leanne? Whatever happens, the pressure will be on Nick in the aftermath as he needs to set the record straight.
Corrie fans have seen a rift develop between Oliver's parents and the hospital over the past few weeks.
Doctors overseeing Oliver's case have insisted that nothing more can be done to help him, but Leanne and Steve McDonald both think there's still hope and they don't want the hospital to give up on their son.
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, November 6 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
