Corrine Bailey Rae and David Foster to headline SING JAZZ 2017

British singer-songwriter Corrine Bailey Rae and Canadian musician and music producer David Foster will be headlining the Singapore International Jazz Festival at the main stage as it returns to Marina Bay Sands from 31 March to 2 April 2017, according to organisers on Tuesday (13 Dec).

Rae, 37, is popular for her hit songs “Put Your Records On” and “Like A Star”, and had her last show in Singapore in 2013 at the Esplanade. She will be performing on Friday night (31 March).

Foster, 67, has produced for a series of music megastars such as Celine Dion, Rod Stewart and Andrea Bocelli. He was recently divorced from Yolanda Hadid, mother of fashion models Gigi and Bella Hadid. The 16-time Grammy award-winning producer will be performing on the final night with a soon-to-be-announced line-up.

SING JAZZ has also introduced a new programme highlight called The Late Show to appeal to the clubbing scene here, with award-winning electronic DJs Rudimental and Basement Jaxx headlining this segment, which will be held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre from 10pm to 4am on 31 March (Friday) and 1 April (Saturday).

“The new addition of The Late Show at Sands Expo & Convention Centre will also heighten the festival experience to provide a new dimension for music fans. Collaborations with festivals like SING JAZZ are important to us as we continuously work towards creating bigger and better experiences for our guests,” said George Tanasijevich, president and CEO of MBS.

Saturday: Nik West, Youssou Ndour & Le Super Etoile de Dakar

Sunday: Raúl Midón Trio, Hitman David Foster & Friends

The Late Show

Friday: Basement Jaxx, Al McKay’s Earth, Wind & Fire Experience

Saturday: Incognito, Rudimental DJ Set

Early bird tickets for both The Main Stage and The Late Show go on sale from 10am on Tuesday (13 Dec) till 11.59pm on 31 Dec and are priced from $88 via Marina Bay Sands tickets and ApacTix.

Full festival passes which gives access to both The Main Stage and The Late Show on both days are priced from $288.
