Courteney Cox has thrilled Friends fans by sharing an old photograph of the cast taken in 2004, shortly before they filmed the final episode of the beloved sitcom.

On Thursday, the actor uploaded a grainy snap on Instagram, featuring herself alongside Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc all around a dinner table.

Cox captioned the post, which was taken 16 years ago, with: “’The Last Supper’ before taping ‘The Last One’ on Jan 23, 2004”.

The actor’s post has already garnered more than two million likes and thousands of comments from fans and fellow celebrities, including singer Charlie Puth and model Poppy Delevingne.

Kudrow commented: “Awwww,” while Aniston left a string of crying emojis.

Cox's post also included a second image, which showed the script for the final episode of Friends.

The photograph comes after Aniston famously “broke” Instagram when she uploaded a recent photograph of the cast together alongside the caption: “And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM”.

The post heralded Aniston’s arrival onto the platform, but it proved so popular (garnering more than 15.7 million likes) that it forced Instagram to crash.

Shortly after the post, Guinness World Records announced that Aniston had set a new record for being the fastest Instagram account to reach one million followers, which she accrued in five hours and 16 minutes.

Aniston followed up the record-breaking post by sharing a clip from her new Apple TV+ series, The Morning Show.

In a caption below the clip, Aniston wrote: ”I swear I didn’t mean to break it... Thank you guys for the kind, glitchy welcome.”
