SINGAPORE – Megastore Courts will be opening a new flagship store at The Heeren in the first quarter of 2022, taking over the prime space vacated by Robinsons.
The new flagship store in The Heeren will span all six storeys of the mall’s retail space, making it Courts’ largest outlet in Singapore at 189,000 square feet. It will also replace the Tampines megastore as the brand’s new flagship store.
“It is fitting that under Nojima Corporation’s stewardship, we mark a significant milestone on our growth path with a new flagship store along Orchard Road,” said Courts Asia’s group chief operating officer and country chief executive of Courts Singapore, Mr Matthew Hoang, in a statement.
Promising to introduce exciting new retail concepts that are “bold, fresh and authentic” through its new store at The Heeren, Courts also intends to set this flagship store different from others by delivering the Japanese standards of customer experience.
Courts first opened its store in Orchard Road in 1974, and currently has 14 outlets across Singapore.
Robinsons moved out from The Heeren on 16 Dec, followed by the closure of its last outlet in Singapore at Raffles City last Saturday. The retail brand cited a range of liquidation factors, including changing customers’ retail buying patterns and cost.
