COVID-19: 58-year-old woman is Singapore's 15th coronavirus-related fatality
SINGAPORE — A 58-year-old Singaporean woman has died from COVID-19 complications, bringing the death toll here from the coronavirus to 15.
The woman, identified as case 703, died on Thursday (30 April), the Ministry of Health (MOH) said in its daily update of coronavirus cases in Singapore on the same day. She was the youngest person to have died due to the infection in Singapore so far.
She was previously confirmed on 26 March as an imported case with prior travel to Europe. At least two of her family members are also confirmed cases.
Ng Teng Fong General Hospital has reached out to her family and is extending assistance to them.
The MOH on Thursday confirmed 528 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 16,169. The ministry also identified 12 additional clusters, including one at the Institute of Mental Health.
