COVID-19: Singapore confirms four new cases, all imported
SINGAPORE — The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed four new COVID-19 cases in Singapore on Friday (27 November), taking the country’s total case count to 58,199.
All new cases are imported and there are no new cases of local transmissions.
“Amongst the new cases today, three are asymptomatic, and were detected from our proactive screening and surveillance, while one was symptomatic,” said the MOH.
One is a Singaporean and two are permanent residents who returned from India and Indonesia.
The remaining case is a work permit holder currently employed in Singapore who arrived from India. All cases were placed on the stay-home notice upon their arrival here and were tested while serving the notice, said the MOH.
Thursday marked the first local transmission reported in 16 days. The 32-year-old man, classified as an unlinked community case, had dinner with 12 family members at Tampines Mall’s Seoul Garden outlet on the night of 21 November. He developed a fever and sore throat two days after.
Earlier on Tuesday, the ministry announced that there are no active COVID-19 clusters for the first time since 3 February.

99% of total cases have recovered; 1 in ICU
With seven more patients discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities on Friday, 58,111 cases – or 99.8 per cent of the total – have fully recovered from the infection.
Most of the 31 hospitalised cases are stable or improving, while one is in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
A total of 29 patients – with mild symptoms or are clinically well but still test positive – are isolated and cared for at community facilities.
Apart from 28 patients who have died from COVID-19 complications, 15 others who tested positive for the virus were determined to have died from unrelated causes, including three whose deaths were attributed to a heart attack and another four, whose deaths were attributed to coronary heart disease.
