Aside from the activities that will be hosted by Crunchyroll, this year's AFA will also play host to HoYo Fest 2023, the annual fan event hosted by Chinese developer HoYoverse that is known for its smash-hit gacha games like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
AFA is the largest and most followed festival in Asia featuring Japanese culture as well as anime, comics, and games since it launched in 2008.
Last year's event notably had a record-breaking attendance of over 145,000 attendees and this year's AFA is looking to surpass that record.
