ILOILO CITY, Philippines (PIA) - The Civil Service Commission (CSC), through Resolution No. 1100318, dated March 8, said that public officers and employees are allowed to continue using the 1994 Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) Form for the year 2010.
A CSC press release said this is pending the Commission's approval of the Revised SALN Form.
It also states that the Baseline Declaration Form and the Annual Declaration form will no longer be used as the latter does not comply with the requirement of the law on annual detailed SALN.
The proposed Revised SALN, on the other hand, is intended to establish a standard review and compliance procedure to be observed by all public officers and employees in the filing and submission of their SALN.
All public officers and employees are required to submit upon resumption to office a declaration under oath of their assets, liabilities and net worth based on Section 17, Article XI of the 1987 Constitution.
Likewise, the requirement on the filing of the SALN is also found in Section 8 of RA No. 6713, or the Code of Ethical Standards for Public Officials and employees, and Section 7 of RA No. 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
CSC has set the deadline for submission of accomplished SALN Form for 2010, on April 30, 2011.
