The identity of The Body from the hit game show The Cube has been revealed after 11 years.

Hosted by Phillip Schofield, the popular ITV show sees contestants complete a series of challenges while stuck inside a perspex cube.

Before each challenge, the task is demonstrated by The Body, a woman dressed in a full-body jumpsuit and metal mask.

But while The Body has never been listed in the show’s credits, she was this week revealed by The Sun to be Andrianna Christofi, a 44-year-old half-Greek model from Essex.

Throughout her career, Christofi has also worked as a singer, on one occasion in 2001 performing the national anthem before an England World Cup qualifier match. She has also performed with the Spice Girls and Boyzone.

She has appeared on The Cube as The Body since the show first began in 2009.

Contestants on The Cube are asked to complete often very basic tasks, with the show’s central premise being that even simple challenges are hard to undertake in a claustrophobic, enclosed environment.

The show originally ran from 2009 to 2015, with contestants competing to win a £250,000 jackpot.

It returned this year with spin-off series The Million Pound Cube, which features two new demonstrators whose identities remain unknown.
