The Charlotte, North Carolina-based company said it had profit of $1.53 per share. Earnings, adjusted to account for discontinued operations, were $1.58 per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.48 per share.
The engineering firm posted revenue of $565.6 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $595.1 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $187.3 million, or $4.15 per share. Revenue was reported as $2.11 billion.
Curtiss-Wright expects full-year earnings to be $4.30 to $4.40 per share, with revenue in the range of $2.17 billion to $2.21 billion.
Curtiss-Wright shares have climbed 1 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $99.46, a rise of 54 percent in the last 12 months.
