PADANG BESAR: Perlis DAP is aiming to contest in two state assembly seats in the 14th General Election.

The party is in discussion with its cohorts in Pakatan Rakyat to allocate either the Pauh seat, previously contested by Pas candidates, or the PKR seat in Kuala Perlis.

The other seat to be contested by DAP is the Titi Tinggi constituency where its contestant was defeated by BN with 1,468 majority in a three-corner fight in the last poll.

Teh Seng Chuan, Perlis DAP chairman, would once again contest for the Titi Tinggi seat in the upcoming GE.

DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang, in naming Teh at a press conference at the Padang Besar DAP headquarters, said the party has a new strategy.

“Maybe we (DAP) will have a breakthrough this time around and there will be a ‘rocket’ in the Perlis cabinet.

“As usual we will ‘fight fight die die’ but hopefully we won’t die,” he said after meeting the party grassroots leaders and members today.
