Data scientist network platform bitgrit appoints a 19-year-old as CEO

The company claims that the appointment in a way also helps the AI democratisation

A 19-year-old has been appointed as the new CEO of bitgrit, an Asia-based data scientists network platform. Frederik Bussler, the first-ever CEO of the company, is said to have backgrounds in AI and data science industries with his experience in founding Smart Contract Auditing, a company focuses on detecting loopholes in smart contract code.

His stints prior to the CEO position at bitgrit includes Data Analyst at Maven 11 Capital in Amsterdam, the Chief Data Officer at HealthDex, a Blockchain and Machine Learning Research Analyst at the Rare Genomics Institute, and a strategic advisor for the Agro Stock Exchange.

Bussler was also a strategic advisor first to bitgrit for 6 months, making him already familiar with the company’s vision and current staff.

bitgrit develops mechanisms that allow for the application of data science and AI within the context of society. bitgrit empowers the exchange of information among data scientists and building a decentralised, token economy-based AI marketplace, creating a community out of it.

Regarding the appointment of heavily-experienced Bussler, co-founders of bitgrit Tetsuro Masunaga and Kazuya Saginawa said: “With our alpha and beta releases scheduled for next year, Frederik’s energy and passion for the project are exactly what the company needs going forward”.

As the mission of the company is to make AI and data science accessible to everyone, Bussler also shared his passion towards the project. “I originally joined this project because I firmly believe in the vision bitgrit has for the future of AI and data science. As CEO, I look forward to making this vision a reality,” said Bussler.
