SHAH ALAM: The badly decomposed body of a man, who is believed to have been murdered, was found in a rubbish trap area at the Eighth Mile of Ijok, Kuala Selangor, yesterday.
Kuala Selangor police chief Supt Ruslan Abdullah said police received a call by the area’s cleaning employee at about 4.40pm following the discovery of the body.
He said the unidentified body, believed to be of a man in his 20s, was found with both ankles tied with two types of saree cloth.
"The victim, clad only in dark denim pants, is believed to have been killed elsewhere, before the body was dumped into a river. He must have died between two and four weeks ago," said Ruslan in a statement here.
He said the body was taken to the Sungai Buloh Hospital for a post mortem.
Members of the public with information about the case, or have a missing family member, are urged to contact the nearest police station, Ruslan added. -- BERNAMA
