Decoration trend: a hint of color

The minimalist trend remains a fashionable interior style, but today, the simple and pared down lines of our furniture is underlined by splashes of color.

Duo seat + lamp

Antwerp-based brand Muller Van Severen presents the "duo seat +lamp," a hybrid piece of furniture that combines armchair, long-chair and lamp. Available in lacquered steel in white, red or black and dressed in two strips of leather, the object is a modern revisited adaptation of a chair style common in the 19th century. (Price upon request)

Taco

The bright-red "Taco" bedside table by Cappellini combines two trays or tabletops and a handle. (Price upon request)

Elisabeth

The "Elisabeth" lamp-stand by French brand Hartô will be a welcome addition to any interior in need of a pop of color. 62-inches high, the lamp's wire structure is nevertheless discreet (549 euros).

Arche

As part of the fall exhibit of Copenhagen's Øregaard Museum, a number of designers have been invited to create pieces of furniture whose size do not exceed 24-inches by 24-inches. Designer Ralph Van der Made designed the "Arche" chair inspired by French architect Joseph-Jacques Ramée. The exhibit will run until October 18.

Raskog

The industrial-inspired colored minimalist bar-stool is available for tight budgets at the Swedish furniture giant Ikea. (US $29)
