Deja vu for Garcia as Bayern run riot in first half

Bayern Munich's Arjen Robben (C) celebrates with teammates after scoring a goal during their UEFA Champions League match against AS Roma, on October 21, 2014

A double from Arjen Robben helped Bayern Munich to an astonishing 5-0 half-time lead over hosts AS Roma in their Champions League Group E game on Tuesday. It is the second time that Roma coach Rudi Garcia has suffered such a fate at the German giants' hands -- his Lille side conceded five in the first half en route to a 6-1 defeat in Munich in the group stage in 2012/13 as Bayern went on to win the trophy. And yet Bayern were outdone by Shakhtar Donetsk, who went one better on Tuesday night by leading 6-0 at half-time away to BATE Borisov in Belarus in Group H, with the Brazilian Luiz Adriano scoring four goals. Sides to have scored five or more goals in one half of a Champions League game: Bate Borisov (BLR) 0 Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR) 6 (half-time), 21/10/2014 AS Roma (ITA) 0 Bayern Munich (GER) 5 (half-time), 21/10/2014 Bayern Munich (GER) 5 Lille (FRA) 0 (final score: 6-1), 07/11/2012 Monaco (FRA) 5 Deportivo La Coruna (ESP) 2 (final score: 8-3), 05/11/2003
