Fatal accident at Tuas Checkpoint on Tues morning

A traffic accident at the Second Link towards Tuas Checkpoint on Tuesday morning (6 Dec) involving three Malaysian motorcyclists left one dead and two injured.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force received a call for ambulance assistance for at 5.09am. A Chinese man in his 50s was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene, said the SCDF.

The other injured male motorcyclist and his female pillion rider in their 30s were taken conscious to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

The accident occurred during the morning peak period, but traffic has since returned to normal as of 8.30am, said the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority.
