Demi Lovato marked two years since her drug overdose with an Instagram post, telling her followers "life has become something beyond my wildest dreams".

The newly-engaged singer is still overjoyed after Max Ehrich proposed earlier this week, and she shared a picture taken by him just before the proposal. Along with the image, she added a screengrab of her notes reflecting on how she feels two years after she was rushed to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in July 2018.

"Today is my miracle day," she began. "I'm so blessed to have one. It represents how the Dr's at Cedar's Sinai saved my life. How my life has become something beyond my wildest dreams."

In her post about her overdose, she explained how much her life has changed. "Only 2 years after that terrible day, I'm engaged to the love of my life," she continued. "I can genuinely say I feel free of my demons. Each and every one."

She also wrote that, while falling in love has helped, it's her work on herself and her own issues that has helped her finally feel free of her past and move forward.

"I've done more work on myself than I have in my entire life," she wrote. "Things that used to keep me down for weeks or even months, pass like tropical storms because my relationship with God has provided me infinite security."

Demi, we're so glad you're feeling happy and loved.
