'Demon Pigs' Roll Around in Mud as They Make London Zoo Debut

A pair of “demon pigs” made their debut at London Zoo on August 11.

Footage by the zoo shows the pigs, dubbed the “ugliest” on earth, delighting visitors by splashing about in a mud puddle.

According to the zoo, keepers were “squealing with delight” over the arrival of Budi and Beth, their first babirusa pigs.

The pair arrived on July 10, and have been settling into their new surroundings.

“Budi and Beth have both settled into their new home really well,” zookeeper Hannah Joy said in a press release.

“They’ve been busy building their own nests out of straw, rolling around in their mud wallow and have even bravely dipped a hoof into their new swimming pool,” she added. Credit: ZSL London Zoo via Storyful
