Demonstration Turns Violent on Second Day of Protests After Officer-Involved Shooting in Philadelphia

Violent clashes erupted between police and protesters after demonstrators took to the streets of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on October 27, one day after the officer-involved shooting of Walter Wallace Jr.

Footage shared to social media shows a police officer beating a man with a baton then pushing him to the ground, with an object thrown at the officer. An onlooker repeatedly yells “get the f—k off him.”

The shooting of Wallace Jr sparked protests across the city, with looting also reported.
