DeRozan joins Kings, WNBA's best rookie + Durant & Steph Curry on Team USA | Good Word with Goodwill

On this episode of the Good Word with Goodwill, Yahoo Sports senior NBA reporter Vincent Goodwill tackles the news of the day and talks a little WNBA before interviewing Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry.

Monica McNutt from ESPN and MSG joins Vinnie to talk about Giannis Antetokounmpo sending Team Greece to the Paris Olympics and whether the Milwaukee Bucks (and Miami Heat) should be worrying about their lack of offseason moves.

The Sacramento Kings added DeMar DeRozan in a sign-and-trade that left everyone wondering how the Kings offense will operate with three star players that like to play in similar ways, but Monica has an idea that might just work.

Vince and Monica try to talk about the Spurs, who added Harrison Barnes from the Kings in the DeRozan sign-and-trade, and end up talking for a bit about the terrifying future of Team France and comps for Jeremy Sochan’s hair.

Monica made some waves recently by saying that she would vote for Angel Reese over Caitlin Clark for this year’s WNBA Rookie of the Year Award, so we talked about it and found that there is a path for Clark to win the award…she has to get the Indiana Fever to the WNBA Playoffs.

Finally, Vince is in Las Vegas with Team USA and got time to sit down and chat with Kevin Durant and Steph Curry on Sunday. Durant discussed the rumors about him wanting out of Phoenix, how long he’ll keep playing and a lot more. Curry talked about his first time on Team USA, life without Klay Thompson in Golden State and if he’ll stay with the Warriors even if they’re not winning.
