Who Dies in "The Umbrella Academy" Season 2?

The Umbrella Academy has always been known for its crazy antics, but that doesn't mean that everyone actually survives all of them. Just like the first season, not everyone in The Umbrella Academy season two came out unscathed and the stakes for survival have never been higher. While it's totally hard to say goodbye, we're going to have to let go these characters who won't be back for a third season. So did we lose one of our favorite heroes this season?Or did their enemies meet their fate after going up against the Hargreeves?

Does anyone die in season two of The Umbrella Academy?

Unfortunately, yes, some characters end up dying during the show's second season. With some very big battles and high stakes, it's not too surprising to see that not everyone survived. Both our heroes and their enemies took very big hits throughout this season, which means there's a good chance that one of your favorites didn't make it out alive.

Who died in season two of The Umbrella Academy?

The Umbrella Academy fans lost a couple of characters along the way. Whether you were huge fans of them or were excited to see them no longer in the Hargreeves' way, there's definitely one character on this list that it was super hard for you to say goodbye to.

Episode 1: The Umbrella Academy (except for Five)

The season opened up with Five and the rest of the Umbrella Academy fighting against Soviet soldiers. However, Five was able to escape with Hazel before all the nuclear bombs exploded and killed them all. Luckily for us, their death wasn't permanent, as Hazel brought Five back in time to stop that apocalypse from happening.

Episode 1: Hazel and Agnes

Unfortunately, our favorite ex-Commission member and his sweet GF both died, as revealed in the first episode. According to Hazel, Agnes died of cancer 20 years after the end of the first season. Meanwhile, Hazel was killed by the Swedes when they came to 1960s Dallas in search of The Umbrella Academy.

Episode 4: Harlan

Harlan ended up drowning in a nearby lake, but Vanya was able to bring him back to life because she accidentally transferred some of her powers to him.

Episode 5: Pogo

After Pogo's failed space mission, he seemingly dies until Sir Hargreeves saves him by injecting him with a serum that makes him more human.

The first of the Swedes met his fate when the brothers followed the instructions from The Commission to kill Diego at a certain set of coordinates. Little did the Swedes know that it was actually a trap left by The Handler to give them more motivation to take down The Umbrella Academy.

Episode 6: Elliot

Poor Elliot was just no match for the Swedes that were looking for revenge on their dead brother. The last two remaining brothers hoped that torturing Elliot would give them the information they needed to find out where Diego was and get rid of The Umbrella Academy once and for all. But Elliot died without giving them what they needed.

Episode 7: The Commission Board (minus AJ)

In an effort to get a suitcase from the Handler, Five goes back in time to the 80s and kills the entire Commission board. However, he ends up keeping AJ alive and gives him to the Handler, who keeps him in the a fishbowl.

Episode 7: Otto

The second Swedish brother ends up dying in the hands of his other brother, Axe, who is forced to kill him after he was rumored by Allison to do so.

Episode 9: Ben

Ben sacrificed himself to stop Vanya from starting another apocalypse. He ended up going into her subconscious, but was unable to hold his form while in there. However, he also noted that his conversation with Vanya helped him to realize that it was time to move on and go into the next life.

Episode 9: Carl

After getting into a fight with Sissy, Carl's gun goes off and almost hits Harlan. However, using his new power from Vanya, Harlan was able to bounce the bullet back to him.

Episode 9: AJ

After realizing that AJ was the one who revealed to Lila that The Handler as the person who was behind Five's mission to kill her parents, The Handler takes him out of his fishbowl and swallows him to keep him from saying anything else before she becomes the head of the Commission.

Episode 9: President John F. Kennedy

Despite their best plans to do so, Diego was unsuccessful in stopping the assassination of the President.

Episode 9: The Majestic 12

After finding out about the President's assassination, Sir Hargreeves goes back to the Majestic 12 and seemingly kills the out of anger.

The Handler ends up killing the worker who told her about the change in the timeline.

During the final battle, Vanya is able to take down the entire Commission with her powers before they attacked The Umbrella Academy.

The Handler comes in and kills the entire Umbrella Academy during their final battle in the barn. However, Five uses his ability to rewind time a couple of seconds to go back and bring them back.

After going back, the final Swede comes in and kills The Handler after realizing that she was the one sending them on fake missions to find The Umbrella Academy.
