SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) _ Discovery Communications Inc. (DISCK) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $304 million.
On a per-share basis, the Silver Spring, Maryland-based company said it had profit of 52 cents.
The operator of cable TV channels such as TLC and Animal Planet posted revenue of $1.67 billion in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $1.19 billion, or $1.96 per share. Revenue was reported as $6.5 billion.
Discovery shares have climbed roughly 5 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 18 percent in the last 12 months.
