“Diskwento Caravan” of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has opened a Diskwento Caravan where various items are up for sale at a discounted price.

Buyers can avail of up to 50% discounts for the products being sold at the Diskwento Caravan set up in front of DTI office at Gil Puyat Avenue, Makati City.

DTI opened the said diskwento or discount caravan as part of the celebration of the World Consumer Rights and International Women’s Month this March.

Shoes and clothes are priced at P100 to P200,  while bags and branded perfumes are priced at P300 to P400.

Various food items are also available like bibingka, hamburger, hotdog sandwiches and several others.

17 female entrepreneurs have participate in the Diskwento Caravan where they can freely sell their products at the DTI headquarters.

“We do not make them pay for their stall. They don’t have to pay for their stalls. They no longer also need to pay for the air-conditioned area, because of that the they can sell it at a very low price,” Undersecretary Teodora Pascua said.

Diskwento Caravan is open from 8 am to 5 pm and will run until March 17. — UNTV News and Rescue
