Superb food topped with attentive customer service.

The new District 10 Bar & Grill are specialised in the best dry-aged meat, featuring the rare, flavoursome bone-in cuts with high content of natural and healthy marbling that is superb with premium red wines.

This outlet at Suntec is the latest addition to the big family, the cozy 1,800 square-foot restaurant (including outdoors seating) is definitely going to be your next favourite dinner spot.

On the inside, it’s able to accommodate about about 35 seated guests, it is a small but really cozy and environment where one could look forward to enjoying their meals comfortably.

For the ones who prefer to chill over a drink, have dinner, or take a smoke, their outdoor seatings are very, very ideal. It gave off that relaxing vibe, definitely helps especially after a stressful day at work.

There is also an European meat showcase and chiller in the house, used for the storage of it’s premium meats such as the 45 days home dry aged corn fed US Prime OP Rib, US Prime, 30 days corn fed dry aged traditional Fiorentina and other bone-in cuts!

Alcohol makes one happy, and happily we are starting our meal with the Peruvian Handshake ($18). Consisting of ingredients like Encanto Pisco Achlado, fresh pineapple, lime juice and soda. This is a drink that gets you all ready for the feast ahead yet keeping you feeling a little high.

Before every hearty meal, it’s always a good idea to start off with a light dish. Butter Lettuce Salad ($20) was perfect to start me off. The salad was well seasoned with the dressing and every piece of it was covered. Consistency checked.

I actually feel so much less guilty at the end of the meal because of this. The halve-sliced juicy tomatoes were so sweet and fresh, and oh, there are hazelnuts inside too. I had a good time crunching on ’em.

Vitello Tomato, Thinly Sliced Roasted Veal Loin with Light Tuna Sauce ($24). Many would probably be irked at the first instance hearing about this combination. Even I felt that the combination of Veal Loin and Tuna sauce is going to ruin my tastebuds.

But at District 10 here, they are absolutely proving you wrong, and me too. Pieces of meat by meat, I gladly popped them into my mouth. The creamy oceanic oily flavour from the sauce overwhelms at first, but later into the bite of tender meat reveals that younger, less gamey taste. Perfect mix of contrasting flavours in one dish.

Puglia Burrata with Organic Cherry Tomato ($26) were the other appetiser served. It is a fresh Italian cheese, made up of mozzarella and cream. The outer sees a solid mozzarella, while the inside contains both mozzarella and cream which is softer. Not an extreme cheese lover but this was fine by me.

It could get feeling a little jelat if you eat this too fast due to it’s creamy and rich nature. I would suggest having this together with the greens and tomatoes for a more balanced taste in each mouthful.

Moving onto the meat feast first is the 45 Days Home Dry Aged Corn Fed US Prime OP Rib ($20/100g; Min order of 500g)

This was one of two dishes from the Charcoal Grill category on the menu served to us. Sprinkled with salt and some garnishing, the dish is ready for you to indulge in. Smaller strips of meat, there were more marbling on the meat. I felt that the meat was easy to chew on, with a little iron taste to it, but the fatty part of it cuts through that bloody taste.

This is the 45 Days Home Dry Aged Corn Fed US Prime Traditional Fiorentina Steak ($22/100g; Min order of 800g). This steak compared to the previous one shows a better distribution between the fats and meat ratio. Meat was also chunkier, and cut in bigger slices. My preference is with this dish and not the previous one because of the better neutrality between fat and meat.

Who will end their meals without desserts? Not me. Needless to say, first up was their Double Espresso Panna Cotta with Vanilla Sauce ($12). Wasn’t really a fan of panna cotta because the ones I had previously were always bland in flavour. This however caught me with its extremely strong and fragrant coffee taste.

A coffee lover like me got stuck with this for a while, I swear I didn’t wanted to share this dessert at all.

Another dessert to satisfy my sweet tooth was the Bitter Chocolate, Marshmallow Fluff with Caramelised Banana ($14). When this was served, we were told to let it sit for about 5-10 minutes. So that the chocolate can adapt to room temperature, thus making it softer and easier to eat.

I love how this dessert contained different taste and textures all in one mouthful. The sweetness from the caramelised banana puts a dash to the bitterness of the chocolate, while the marshmallow fluff gives your mouth that soft and light feeling. Mad love.

With a handful of other outlets as well, this District 10 outlet at Suntec is probably my favourite in terms of ambience and location. Serving quality meat, grilled to perfection, pair it with a glass of wine. Definitely bound to be to your liking.

Expected Damage: $60 – $100/Pax
