Doctor Anywhere provides healthcare providers with more options for care delivery, improving their access, and reach to patients

Doctor Anywhere, a Singapore-based tele-health startup, has raised S$5.6 million (US$4.1 million) in Series A round of financing, anchored by Kamet Capital Partners, which is an investor in MyRepublic.

Several other unknown investors also co-invested, the company announced in a press note.

The funds will be channelled towards growing the team, exploring new business verticals, and developing new healthcare solutions from this year onwards.

“We are grateful for the support from our diversified strategic investors base which will no doubt broaden our network and development opportunities,” said Lim Wai Mun, Founder of Doctor Anywhere. “Together with a strong team and sensible go-to market strategy, we believe Doctor Anywhere is well-positioned to succeed in this relatively new but burgeoning industry.”

Founded in 2015, Doctor Anywhere was established to provide healthcare providers with more options for care delivery, improving their access and reach to patients. The company’s current products offer care-seekers easy access to healthcare providers through video consultations on the mobile phone.

The Doctor Anywhere app is available on Google Play or App Store.

Doctor Anywhere has launched three business verticals to-date — general practitioner, lactation and medical aesthetics consultations.

“Since its inception in 2015, Doctor Anywhere has proven itself to be the leading telehealth innovator in Singapore. With a sustainable business model, strong leadership and a versatile team, Doctor Anywhere plays a key role in helping to shape the future of this rapidly evolving industry,” said Kerry Goh, CEO of Kamet Capital Partners. “We are excited to be a part of Doctor Anywhere’s journey and believe there is huge potential for the company to enhance the efficiency of the current healthcare industry, and bring a plethora of benefits to both healthcare professionals and patients.”

“Our goal is to improve accessibility to quality healthcare for everyone, while supporting providers in delivering care and advice to care-seekers more efficiently,” Mun added. “Healthcare is on the cusp of a digital transformation. With these funds, we can continue to push boundaries to develop new and innovative solutions that can broaden providers’ reach to Singaporeans and complement our healthcare ecosystem.”
