Donald Trump Trades In Signature Hat for Updated Style
Donald Trump debuted a new hat to help cement his status as the president-elect of the United States and show he is confident in his future title after slamming election recount reports on Friday.
Swapping out his campaign’s signature “Make America Great Again” hat, Trump sported a red cap with “USA” printed on the front and the number 45 on the side — presumably a nod to his future status as 45th president of the United States — while leaving Palm Beach, Fla., on Sunday.
Throughout Trump’s campaign, the MAGA slogan was prominently featured on a majority of supporter merchandise that flew off shelves nationwide, including the popular $25 cap, which is available in red, white, and camouflage. Following the Republican candidate’s win on Nov. 8, the MAGA hat reportedly sold out instantly, but it has since restocked.
The “USA” hat is not yet available on Trump’s official campaign website, but, if added, it would likely sell out as fast as the MAGA cap. Trump will be officially sworn into office as the nation’s 45th president on Inauguration Day on Friday, Jan. 20.
