Jared Kushner has been registered to vote as a woman for the past eight years, according to reports.
The gender of Donald Trump’s son-in-law is said to listed as ‘female’ in records from the New York State Board of Elections.
Screengrabs published by Wired show that Mr Kushner, who is a senior adviser to the President, first registered to vote in November 2009.
It is not clear why Mr Kushner is registered as a woman, with theories ranging from it being a simple mistake to being a victim of a voter impersonation scheme.
Brad Bainum, spokesperson for American Bridge, the group that first identified the error, told the publication: ”Kushner can’t even fill out the most basic paperwork without screwing it up, so it’s a mystery why anyone thinks he’s somehow going to bring peace to the Middle East.
