"DoReMi" remake? Sarah Geronimo says "Why not!"

The singer would say yes to the project if it means working with Yeng Constantino and Rachelle Ann Go

28 Sep - Sarah Geronimo wouldn't say no to the opportunity of starring in a remake of the hit 1996 movie "DoReMi", if she could star in it with her two best pals.

As reported on ABS-CBN News, the singer made that statement after good friend Rachelle Ann Go published a photo with her and Yeng Constantino on Instagram, and wrote, "DoReMi remake? What you think? [...] I love these ladies so much!"

Fans who have seen the photo quickly agreed that a remake with the three ladies would be a terrific idea.

Speaking to the media at her Manulife event recently, Geronimo admitted that it was her idea to caption Go's post that way.

"I told her on the spot. Shin can be Regine, I'm Mikee, and Yeng can play Donna Cruz. If it can be realised, why not? It will be an honour to do a remake of "DoReMi"," she enthused.

Directed by Ike Jarlego Jr., "DoReMi" is a musical comedy about three women, Donnette (played by Donna Cruz), Reggie (Regine Velasquez), and Mikki (Mikee Cojuangco), and their journey in pursuing a career in showbiz.

Meanwhile, Geronimo also stated that she is now ready to make her showbiz comeback after a two-month break.

"Yes, I am 100 percent back. I am energised and motivated to work harder," she said.
