Stocks getting a lift today include Dynavax as the FDA gave approval for the drugmaker’s hepatitis B vaccine; Covanta as BMO Capital upgraded the waste management firm to outperform with a $17 price target; and Charter, with shares of the cable operator jumping on reports that Softbank is planning a direct bid for the company.
Stocks getting hit today include Clovis Oncology as investors believe its collaboration with Bristol Myers suggests Clovis will not get acquired in the near term; Coach as Jefferies downgraded shares to ‘hold’ claiming positive catalysts were already priced in; and Tesla, despite first deliveries of the Model 3 this weekend, with shares dropping today as investors question how Tesla can produce all the vehicles it has promised.
