DPM heads to Sabah districts, KK, for two-day whirlwind trip

KOTA KINABALU: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi will be in Semporna and Kinabatangan tomorrow for a series of programmes which will see him going down to the ground.

Zahid, who is also Home Minister, is slated to arrive at Tawau this evening and will make his way to Semporna the next morning.

He will attend a Ziarah Kasih programme at Kampung Labuan Senang, in Bugaya; and launch the Semporna Al-Quran Studies Academy at the Yayasan Sabah hostel building at Jalan Bugaya.

Zahid will then travel to Kinabatangan to attend a gathering with police personnel and their families at the Kinabatangan police headquarters.

He will also launch a Felcra programme, together with Umno and Barisan Nasional election machineries, at the Kinabatangan district council’s market square.

On Monday morning, Zahid is scheduled to attend a closed-door meeting with the Eastern Sabah Safety Zone (Esszone) advisory board at the Le Meridien Hotel here, before returning to the national capital.
