Dr. Alex Lin, the Head of Ecosystem Development for SGInnovate, will be stepping down from the company in September, a spokesperson has confirmed to e27.

Lin was formerly the Head of Infocomm Investments (IIPL), the investment arm of an old government agency called the Infocomm Development Authority. A government-wide restructuring in 2016 led IIPL to rebrand as SGInnovate and shift into a fully-private company.

“Alex has kept a very busy pace these past few years, setting up a variety of accelerator programmes and partnerships, both in Singapore and several other countries in Asia. He expressed his desire to enjoy a period of rest and recharging, and we respect his decision,” read the statement from SGInnovate.

No indication was given about Lin’s future plans.
