Dr. Dre to stream new album on Apple Music before official release

US rapper Dr. Dre

Dr. Dre will be streaming his latest album for just three hours on Apple Music on the eve of its official release on Friday.

After a 16-year hiatus, Dr. Dre announced the release of a new album “Compton: A Soundtrack.”

The album, which features guests such as Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Ice Cube, Xzibit and Snoop Dogg, will be available for streaming on Apple Music between 6 pm to 9 pm PT on Thursday.

The tracks were inspired by the cinematic release of the biopic "Straight Outta Compton," also starring Dr. Dre and due out in theaters next week.
