Dr M, wife visit Vivekananda Centre, attend Rembau Deepavali do

REMBAU: Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his wife, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali today spent some time visiting the Vivekananda Childcare Centre here.

The couple were welcomed by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Senator P. Waytha Moorthy and Vivekananda Childcare Centre chairman P. Ramesh.

During the 15-minute visit, Dr Mahathir and Dr Siti Hasmah also toured the centre’s gallery, mingled with over 40 occupants of the centre, aged between five and 18, and presented donations of school supplies to the children.

After the event, the couple proceeded to Dataran Rembau to attend a Deepavali Open House organised by Waytha Moorthy.
