Drone captures Argentina forest fire devastation

Forest fires have ravaged homes, vehicles and land, according to local media reports in Argentina.

Local authorities said the fire's rapid spread was fuelled by high temperatures and windy conditions.

Eyewitness video filmed shows the decimated woodland, trees and houses in the rural town of Las Golondrinas.

Rain on Wednesday (March 10) extinguished much of the flames, but authorities are keeping an eye on multiple hotspots.

Argentina's Chubut province lies between the Andes mountains and the Atlantic Ocean.
