SHAH ALAM: A man, believed to be driving under the influence of alcohol, was seriously injured in a three-vehicle pile-up at the Shah Alam Expressway (Kesas) here last night.
The 9pm incident at Km32.4 occurred when the driver, in a Perodua Alza, lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a road divider.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (SFRD) assistant director of operations Mohd Sani Harul said the incident then caused two other cars, a Proton Persona and Honda Accord, to crash.
“The victim was given immediate medical attention by SFRD paramedics at the scene before he was rushed to Shah Alam Hospital,” said Sani.
He said a team of 11 firemen from the Shah Alam fire station rushed to the scene following a call received at 9.19pm.
