Dungun motorcyclist killed after colliding with road divider

DUNGUN: A motorcyclist was killed when his Yamaha 125Z skidded to the side of the road and rammed into a divider near Km366.6 of the East Coast Highway2 (LPT2) here at 9am yesterday.

District police chief Superintendent Ahmad Zailani Yaacub said the victim, identified as Maktar Jusoh, 28, from Kampung Raja, Besut, died at the scene from serious head and bodily injuries.

"The victim was heading towards Kuantan from Ajil in Hulu Terengganu," he said today.

Zailani added that the victim's body was sent to the Dungun Hospital for a post mortem.

"The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road and Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving and causing death," he said.
