Kat is prowling around Phil, but will the pair admit their feelings for each other? Plus Kim tries to monetise romance, while Ruby’s argument with Stacey takes a dramatic turn.
It’s all your EastEnders spoilers for the week of 22-26 February, 2021.
So, Phil and Kat are the next hot Walford romance. Well, I say ‘hot’, but there are some who'll feel it's like watching a baked potato trying to get off with a Seville orange. However, I personally think there's a certain thrill in seeing Phil’s Farah’s trousers entwined on the bedroom floor with Kat’s leopard-print tops.

I mean, just imagine how annoyed Sharon will be when she discovers that her ex is now dating the char?
Before that happens, though, we have Kat feeling too proud to admit the way she feels, only to then overhear Phil (who’s also masking his true intentions) making a nasty comment about her. Sounds to me like they could do with a fairy godmother. Speaking of which…
Kim has a lorra lorra fun
Kim has a new business idea: professional matchmaking. Yes, she’s gone full-on Cilla with her new service, which she’s entitling The Fox Catcher.
The first person for whom she’s determined to find love is Isaac. But viewers can expect romantic complications to ensue when he makes a mess of things with Lola, while his mum Sheree schemes from the sidelines. Just why does she seem intent on scuppering her son’s potential relationships?

Is she merely possessive or might there be a valid reason for her qualms?
Dotty has plans for Tiff
Can anyone recall the name of the fake networking site that the residents of the Square have used in the past, so that the show can avoid saying the word “Facebook”? Points to those who answered “Matesgate”, that well-known internet friendship hub that I’m hoping will make a comeback after Dotty comes up with the idea of Tiff promoting the club on social media.
Not that Ruby seems too enamoured with this. In fact, she looks set to shut the concept down entirely, all of which results in Dotty souring on her employer and forming a Plan B: incentivising a cash-strapped Tiff to divulge all she knows about Ruby.
Ruby takes a tumble
Now, talking of Ruby, she appears to be everywhere next week. As well, as dousing Dotty’s idea in cold water, she’s also having to do some quick thinking where her unborn baby is concerned what with her actually only being seven weeks pregnant rather than 12, as she’s told Martin. And then there’s a dramatic fall for the mum-to-be, which is set to be shown on Friday 26 February.
Now, most people get rid of safety gates when their kids reach a certain age, but everyone in Walford would be wise to keep them permanently in place. I’ve lost track of the amount of people who’ve either fallen or been pushed down the stairs over the years. Alfie, Nancy, Phil, Linda, Tiffany, Tanya, Laura to name but a few. And now Ruby is set to add her name to the list after she takes a tumble during a set-to with Stacey.
If EastEnders was really smart, they’d time these falls so that they coincided with the duff-duffs, which already sound as though a drum kit has been dropped down an extra-steep flight...
