Ed Westwick and Kelly Rutherford have a “Gossip Girl” mini-reunion: 'Elevator selfie with the legend herself'
Xoxo.
Gossip Girl costars Ed Westwick and Kelly Rutherford reunited in an unexpected place, according to social media posts they made Thursday.
Westwick captioned a snapshot of it, "Elevator selfie with the legend herself," in his Instagram Stories, and she reposted their moment.
Westwick and Rutherford, of course, costarred on the original version of the CW's fashionable teen drama, from 2007 to 2012. He played bad boy Chuck Bass, while she took on the role of Lily van der Woodsen, the mother of Serena, who was played by Blake Lively, on the series about the scandalous goings on at a swanky New York City private school. Chuck and Serena moved in the same social circles, as did Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), and the reluctant Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), among others. As they navigated their (mostly) privileged young lives, the mysterious title character, voiced by Kristen Bell, revealed their secrets in a blog.

Last month, Westwick marked another important moment when he and Supergirl actress Amy Jackson married after three years of dating. PEOPLE reported that Westwick and Jackson made their union legal in a civil ceremony in London, They followed that up with a wedding in Italy for 220 guests, including Rutherford.
In September 2023, Badgley and Taylor Momsen, who played his little sister, Jenny, on the first three seasons of Gossip Girl, before departing to focus on her rock band, the Pretty Reckless, had a reunion of their own on his podcast, Podcrushed.
He called it, "A reunion worth waiting for."
Gossip Girl was rebooted in 2021, for HBO Max. It lasted for two seasons.
