Eddie Alvarez, ‘Reug Reug’ Returning For ‘ONE On TNT IV’
In the finale of ONE Championship’s “ONE on TNT” event series, a lightweight contender will have a chance to rebound from a controversial outing, while a heavyweight rising star will be back in action.
At “ONE on TNT IV,” which airs on Thursday, 29 April, at 8:30 a.m. on the ONE Super App and ONE’s YouTube channel, Eddie “The Underground King” Alvarez will face the winner of the upcoming clash between Marat Gafurov and Ok Rae Yoon this Thursday at “ONE on TNT III.”
Alvarez last appeared in the Circle at “ONE on TNT I,” where he was disqualified for unintentionally striking the back of #2-ranked lightweight contender Iuri Lapicus’ head. Now, the American will get an opportunity for redemption.
Also on the card is heavyweight phenom “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane. He last competed at “ONE on TNT I,” where he decimated kickboxer Patrick “Big Swiss” Schmid via first-round TKO. This time, he’ll face fellow mixed martial artist Kirill Grishenko.
Meanwhile, “ONE on TNT IV” will be headlined by two explosive and dangerous fighters.
ONE Light Heavyweight World Champion Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang will defend his strap against Vitaly Bigdash.
This will be the third meeting between these men after they split the first two encounters.
Bigdash beat Aung La N Sang at ONE: QUEST FOR POWER in 2017, but “The Burmese Python” evened the score at ONE: OF A NATION in the same year.
