Eddie Peng denies insulting South Korea

25 Jun – Taiwanese actor Eddie Peng recently denied rumours that he had made an insulting remark about South Korea, as reported on HK Top Ten.

Eddie, who attended a press conference for "A Wedding Invitation" with co-star Bai Baihe in Seoul on 20 June, was pestered with questions regarding a statement he made on a TV programme, reportedly saying that South Korea is a nation great for plastic surgery.

The surprised actor dismissed the allegation and said, "I've never said that before. I have no idea [about the rumour]."

The actor was also supported by the film company, saying that it was just a misunderstanding and that it was the show's host who said it, and not the actor.

Meanwhile, the actor also shared his desire to work with Korean actress, Song Hye-kyo, saying that he has been interested ever since he saw her in the popular series, "Endless Love".

"A Wedding Invitation" was selected as the closing film for the Korean Chinese Film Festival that was held from 16 to 20 June.
