Models walked in circles and kept checking their phones at Edeline Lee’s spring 2024 collection. They were not slacking off, they were under the designer’s instruction to showcase the spirit of her “future lady” who is always on the go.

“She’s on a mission. She’s going in all directions. She’s purposeful and she knows exactly what she wants. I want to show that visually with this performance. And in the same spirit, when she stands still, we’ve directed the girls to be purposeful and powerful,” Lee said backstage.

Her personal favorite in the collection is a short saffron orange dress, fit for both dinner parties and official functions. Overall, the spring lineup felt more glamorous due to a bigger portion of evening dresses. The gold squared sequin one would look great on Kate Middleton at a state dinner. The brand’s classic styles, meanwhile, were reinterpreted with saturated and contrasting colors.

Lee also set up a shooting studio right at the presentation to produce the look book. Every three-and-half minutes, one model would stand in front of the camera while the rest walked behind her. The outcome was a series of artistic images documenting the movement of Lee’s beautiful creations.
